What are the available sizes?
A. Random-sized slabs
and cut-to-size slabs are available.

What is a random-sized slab?
A. This is a one side
sawn, one side polished slabs with edges un-cut.

What is a cut-to-size slab?
A. As the name suggests,
the random-sized slab will be cut according to specification
of importer. Here the edges will be cut.

What is the standard mode of transaction?
A. Mode of money transaction
is via "Letter of Credit" account. This is a
mutually beneficial and safe mode of transactions across
borders.

What are the terms and conditions for
payment/delivery? |

You
will need to send an inquiry with requirements to
Sri Srinivasa & Co requesting a quotation. |

Sri
Srinivasa & Co will send a quotation to meet
your requirements with terms and conditions. |

iii. |
On
the receipt of the quotation, you will be required
to send an indent or purchase order specific to
the exact requirement. |

iv. |
You will need to open an "LOC" (Letter of Credit)
at your bank in the name of the exporting company.
At this stage you will need to obtain the name of
the exporters bank in the exporters country. |

Your bank will intimate Asiagranites bank that an
"LOC" was opened in their company's name and will
be given to the company. |

vi. |
All mutually acceptable terms and conditions will
be specified on "LOC". |

Then the exporter after recieving LOC through his
bank will start the process of packing the container. |

Q. Can every
individual export from India?
A. No, only companies
possessing IEC number and BIN number can export.

Are there export fees or regulations that I need to know
about since you're based in India?
A. No. All prices from
our side will be quoted in US$ on FOB (Fee on Board) basis.

What is the insurance on the product?
A. Marine and Cargo insurance.

Q.
What is Marine and Cargo insurance?
A. This is an insurance
that covers the granite packed in container at the factory
in the exporter's country to the warehouse of the importer's
country.

Q.
What happens if I am not satisfied with the product when
it reaches me?
A. If any breakage occurs
in the transportation, it is covered under Marine Insurance
which is taken by the importer.

How much extra material should I order to allow for breakage,
project wastage and other unexpected difficulties?
A. If you are purchasing
a random-sized granite slab in 2 cm or 3 cm thickness
and having minimum dimension of [9 ft X 5 ft], then

60 cm X 60 cm, then percentage wastage in slab is
20%. |

If you are cutting
90 cm X 90 cm, then percentage wastage in slab is
25%. |

If you are cutting
120 cm X 90 cm, then percentage wastage in slab
is 30%. |

iv. |
If you are cutting
90 cm X 60 cm, then percentage wastage in slab is
20%. |

What type of packing exist with us?
|

i. |
A-frame
-> Random slabs will be packed on either side of
the frame with PVC paper between the polished faces
and tightly braced with wire sling for sea worthiness. |

ii. |
Wooden
Bundles - > Random slabs will be packed in wooden
crates with PVC paper between the polished surfaces
and a number of crates are stuffed in the container.

Is there any "Minimum Export Price" existing
on granite from India?
A. Till now no such MEP
was levied on granite.
